# Bolt Pattern Calculator

Calculate a bolt pattern (PCD) from a measured stud spacing, and confirm Tacoma wheel compatibility. All 6-lug Tacomas are 6x139.7.

## What It Does
- PCD from a measurement: Compute bolt circle diameter from lug count and stud spacing for 5, 6, and 8 lug hubs.
- Pattern match: Matches the measured value to a known pattern within tolerance and names it.
- Tacoma compatibility: Bolt pattern, hub bore, and stud thread by generation, plus interchangeable Toyota and Lexus wheels.

## Summary
- Calculates bolt circle diameter from lug count and a measured stud chord using PCD equals chord over sine of 180 over n.
- All 6-lug Toyota Tacomas use 6x139.7; hub bore is 106.1 mm on 1st to 3rd gen and 95.1 mm on 4th gen.
- Matches the measured value to a known pattern and lists compatible Toyota and Lexus wheels.

## FAQ
### What is the Tacoma bolt pattern?
Every 6-lug Toyota Tacoma is 6x139.7, also written 6x5.5. Only early 2WD non-PreRunner models used 5x114.3.

### Will 4Runner wheels fit a Tacoma?
Yes on 1st to 3rd gen, which share 6x139.7 and a 106.1 mm hub bore with the 4Runner, FJ, GX, and 1st-gen Tundra. On a 4th gen you also need a 106.1 to 95.1 mm hub ring and M14 lug nuts.

### How do I measure a 5-lug bolt pattern?
Measure from the center of one stud to the outer edge of the stud two positions away. That distance is very close to the bolt circle diameter for a 5-lug wheel.
